Start: Immediate Start
Term: 6-Month Contract

We are currently seeking temporary General Labourers to join our team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role in a mining environment. The position involves general labour duties supporting site operations, with skid steer operation required as part of daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general labour duties.
Operate a skid steer safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and maintaining safe work areas.
Support equipment operators and production crews as required.
Conduct pre-use inspections on equipment and report any defects or safety concerns.
Work safely around large processing plant equipment.
Maintain constant awareness of surroundings and follow all site traffic and safety rules.
Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety and environmental procedures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members via radio and verbal communication.
Perform physically demanding work in varying and often challenging weather conditions.

Position Requirements

Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
Previous skid steer operating experience is required.
Previous mining experience is considered an asset.
Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Strong situational awareness and ability to work safely in high-traffic mining areas.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working rotating shifts, including days and nights.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, rain, and heat.
Must be able to pass all required pre-employment and site-access screenings.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with reliable transportation.
Must have reliable transportation to Prince George or Vanderhoof.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $27.50 per hour
