The Director, Marketing, Enrolment and Donor Relations provides strategic leadership for Lakeland College's integrated marketing, communications, enrolment, recruitment, and donor and alumni relations functions. Guided by Lakeland's Vision 2030 strategic plan, the Director works with their team to strengthen the college's profile, support enrolment and student success goals, advance donor and alumni engagement, and leads internal, external and crisis communications. The director also helps champion Lakeland's commitment to rural sustainability.

As a member of the college's leadership team, the Director leads a collaborative, high-performing team and works closely with departments throughout Lakeland. The Director leads efforts to create a seamless student journey from prospect to alumni. They also are focused on advancing fundraising and donor stewardship goals. The director helps Lakeland achieve its strategic priorities through data-informed decision-making and strong community relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for Lakeland’s integrated marketing, communications, recruitment, and enrolment efforts, ensuring alignment with Vision 2030 and Lakeland priorities.
Advance Lakeland's profile and reputation by guiding the college’s brand strategy.
Provide strategic direction for donor and alumni relations, including developing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with key donors and partners, overseeing donor stewardship and recognition, and supporting alumni engagement.
Champion the college's Enrolment and Student Success Roadmap and promote a data-informed approach to decision-making through market research, demographic trends, performance metrics, and Lakeland data.
Lead, mentor and develop a collaborative, high-performing team while fostering strong partnerships across Lakeland and representing the department as a member of the college’s leadership team.
Oversee departmental budgets, resource allocation, contracts, and operational planning to ensure the effective and responsible use of resources.
Collaborate with Facilities and Infrastructure to implement and maintain the college’s wayfinding program in alignment with the college’s visual identity and brand standards.
Lead the development of crisis communications strategies and plans to protect and support the college’s reputation and operations and serve as a member of the emergency management response team.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, fundraising, or a related field. A master's degree is considered an asset.
Demonstrated progressive leadership experience, including leading teams, developing and implementing strategy, managing budgets, and guiding organizational change and initiatives.
Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex and evolving environments.
Experience using data and performance measures to inform planning and evaluate outcomes.
Experience in post-secondary education, enrolment management, fundraising, marketing, or communications is considered an asset.
Knowledge of SharePoint, HubSpot, Blackbaud (Raiser's Edge), and PeopleSoft is considered an asset.
Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation is considered an asset.

Additional Information

This is a Full-time Continuing ADMIN appointment on the Vermilion campus commencing September 1, 2026. The current salary range is $129,877 to 170,086 per annum and includes a generous benefit package and pension plan.
