The Movement Boutique is a growing retail and e-commerce business specializing in dancewear, apparel, accessories, custom merchandise, and our own MVMNT Brand. We serve customers across Canada, the UK and, the United States through our retail store, online platforms, events, and industry partnerships.
As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and entrepreneurial Brand & Operations Manager to help lead the next phase of growth.
This is a leadership role focused on operations, marketing, e-commerce, product development, and business growth. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their department, make decisions confidently, and help drive the success of our brands.
Position Overview
The Brand & Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term growth of The Movement Boutique and MVMNT Brand product lines.
This position is responsible for operational leadership, staff management, marketing strategy, e-commerce growth, product development, budgeting, and business planning. While this role may occasionally assist customers during busy periods, the primary focus is on managing backend operations, leading growth initiatives, and supporting the overall success of the business.
Responsibilities
Operations & Business Management
- Oversee daily business operations
- Develop and improve operational systems and procedures
- Manage inventory systems, purchasing, and product planning
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate product ordering
- Analyze sales trends and identify opportunities for growth
- Manage budgets and expenses
- Work alongside the bookkeeper to monitor financial performance and reporting
- Assist with forecasting, planning, and goal setting
- Ensure efficient workflow across retail, e-commerce, and marketing functions
Staff Leadership
- Manage and support a small team of approximately 2-3 employees
- Create staff schedules and oversee daily workflow
- Delegate responsibilities and ensure accountability
- Train and mentor team members
- Conduct performance reviews and ongoing staff development
- Maintain a positive, professional workplace culture
Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for Canada and the United States
- Manage social media planning and content strategy
- Oversee email marketing campaigns
- Coordinate promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns
- Identify partnership, sponsorship, ambassador, and collaboration opportunities
- Analyze marketing performance and recommend improvements
- Grow brand awareness and customer engagement
E-Commerce & Website Management
- Manage Shopify website operations
- Oversee product listings, descriptions, collections, and merchandising
- Improve online customer experience and conversion rates
- Monitor website performance and analytics
- Support online sales growth initiatives
- Coordinate online promotions and product launches
Product Development
Assist in the development and expansion of:
- MVMNT Brand Rhinestones
- Apparel and merchandise collections
- Dancewear and accessories
- New product lines and retail offerings
- Research industry trends and customer demand
- Source products and suppliers
- Support long-term brand growth and expansion strategies
Events & Industry Outreach
- Plan and coordinate promotional events, launches, and pop-ups
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events when required
- Coordinate event logistics and marketing materials
- Some travel may be required within Canada and the United States
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in retail, operations, marketing, e-commerce, or a related field
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Preferred
- Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Experience in marketing, branding, or content creation
- Experience managing budgets and business operations
- Experience with email marketing platforms
- Experience in apparel, fashion, dancewear, or specialty retail
- Graphic design, photography, or content creation experience is considered an asset

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
