Full job description

If you are looking to join a dynamic and growing team, Islands West Produce has the right job for you! With a long history in Victoria, we pride ourselves on providing excellent client service and being passionate about our Islands West product offerings.

As a member of our Order Desk team, you will perform a variety of customer service, order desk, administrative and reception functions. This can be a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and critical thinking.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

Sunday - 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Monday & Tuesday - 4:00 am to 8:00 am

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Utilize your strong listening, communication, and multitasking skills to provide a positive and professional customer experience for our clients.
Answer general phone line with professional phone mannerism and take orders, transfer calls, answer questions and promote items.
Receive and process orders, invoices, and credit memos in-person, via phone and via email with a high level of accuracy.
Perform a wide variety of office duties such as faxing, photocopying, scanning, emailing, printing, process payments, etc.
Work closely and communicate often with other departments such as warehouse, sales reps, office, production, and drivers.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Excellent display of critical thinking, creativity, and innovation; administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
A high level of motivation, ability to work in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision and excellent multitasking skills.
Demonstrated ability to offer world-class customer service standards in person, on phone and via email, a passion to go above and beyond customer expectations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A willingness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback.
Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Office experience is preferred but not required.
Strong customer service orientation and professional phone mannerism are a must.
Proficient computer and typing skills are a must.
Knowledge of produce and distribution industry an asset.
Advanced skills working with computers and other office equipment.
