Accounting Administrator

Damar Security Systems - Full Time, Permanent.

Monday – Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM

Work Location – Sarnia Office

Damar Security Systems, one of the largest independent integrated security providers in Canada, is currently seeking an Accounting Administrator to add to our team. Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities:

Support and assist the Chief Accountant and accounting team as needed.

Process and organize high volume data.

Develop and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.

Accounts Payable:

Enter subcontractor and vendor invoices, match POs and ensure correct amounts, investigate variances, and allocate to appropriate GL accounts.

Match monthly corporate credit card statements with employee receipts and allocate charges to appropriate GL accounts.

Accounts Receivable:

Apply payments to customer accounts (bank payments, e-transfers, credit cards, and cheques)

Maintain accurate records of customer and dealer customer accounts, including updating expired credit cards, adding/deleting/changing banking information, email and billing addresses, additions and cancellations of recurring charges and accounts.

Respond to customer receivables inquiries regarding billing, payments and account statements in a professional and timely manner.

Create and reconcile billing on behalf of dealer customers and create statements.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or a related field

Skills:

Strong diligence and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
High WPM typing speed.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Understanding of general accounting principles and familiarity with billing cycles, invoicing, and payment processing.
Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional Information:

Knowledge of industry-specific billing processes (e.g., monitoring services, equipment leases) is beneficial. Will require occasional interaction with other departments such as sales or technical support.

Compensation:

Expected remuneration between $50,000 and $55,000 annually.
