Position: Mobile Equipment Trainer and Working at Heights Instructor
Employment: Full-time/Part-time
Location: Waterloo/Cambridge
Salary: $65,000-75,000 to start, DOE (Full-time)

Worksite Safety Compliance Centre is looking to grow our current team of instructors, specifically for the delivery of our CPO-approved Working at Heights program. This position is currently open and will deliver classes at our Training Centres in Waterloo and Cambridge, Ontario, and occasionally at other locations within the area. In addition to Working at Heights class delivery, there is an opportunity for this instructor to train others on mobile elevated work platforms. This could be a full-time or part-time position, depending on the candidate's needs.
As a Health & Safety Instructor your key responsibilities are:

Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
- Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
- Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
- Potentially delivering other courses, such as Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Training
- Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
The right candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

3+ years experience delivering training (Working at Heights and MEWP preferred)
- Forklift, mobile elevated work platforms and any other mobile equipment experience considered an asset
- Background in construction management and/or other fall hazard-related industry
- Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred
- Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
- Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
- Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
- Valid Ontario’s Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
- Able to legally work in Canada
