Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Red Seal Journeyman/Woman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance, with a strong focus on safety, precision, and quality workmanship. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to diverse projects while advancing their career in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to blueprints and schematics
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete tasks
Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving carpentry, welding, or HVAC components
Troubleshoot plumbing issues using schematic diagrams and technical manuals
Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Assist in assembly of plumbing components and systems for new construction or renovation projects
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times

Experience

Valid Red Seal Journeyman/Woman Plumber certification is required
Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial settings
Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with HVAC systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics is essential
Knowledge of carpentry principles related to plumbing installations is preferred
Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods
Prior experience reading technical drawings such as blueprints or schematics is necessary for precise execution of work
