Recruiting Solutions by Deborah Zsebok is hiring for a Full Time MACHINIST / FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN on behalf of our client located in LEAMINGTON, Ontario. Location: LEAMINGTON, Ontario
Hours: Monday – Friday from 7am-5pm with occasional O/T
Start/Duration: Immediate vacancy – Direct Hire permanent on client payroll

Wage Transparency
· Combination role: 80% Operate precision machinery in the company shop to machine and fabricate components as well as 20% travelling to customer locations (in Leamington and close surrounding area) to service, maintain and repair industrial equipment. Company vehicle provided.
· Monday – Friday
· $28 - $30/hour based on experience (if less than 3+ years of work experience, open to negotiate)
· Hourly pay (weekly), benefits, vacation, company vehicle for service calls
About the Role
This combination role involves operating precision machinery in the company shop to machine and fabricate components as well as travelling to customer locations to service, maintain and repair industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong machining skills and be comfortable performing on-site repairs and maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery. What You’ll Do
· Operate machines such as lathe, milling machine, grinders and CNC machines to machine, fabricate, repair or modify parts
· Read and interpret CAD and technical drawings to create precision components
· Ensure the quality of machined parts through measurement and inspection
· Travel to client sites to install, inspect, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery such as conveyors, trimming machinery, cut stack label finishing equipment and automated assembly cells etc. in Leamington and close surrounding area.
· Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on mechanical systems
· Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns ensuring minimal downtime
· Collaborate with customers to provide on-site technical support and training
What Prequalifications You Need
· Must have 3+ years’ experience on the job as a Machinist or Field Service Technician. Problem solving and technical skills are critical in this role.
· Must be proficient in operating manual and CNC machines
· Have a strong understanding of mechanical systems
· Must have existing experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment such as conveyors, trimming machinery, cut stack label finishing equipment and automated assembly cells etc.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Have a valid drivers licence to travel to client job sites to repair equipment or perform preventative maintenance
