Position Summary
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading all aspects of manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, logistics, warehousing, engineering, and operational strategy. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this position provides leadership and direction to ensure operational excellence, scalable growth, cost optimization, food safety compliance, and the successful execution of strategic business objectives.
The Vice President of Operations will play a critical role in expanding manufacturing capabilities, launching new production lines, improving operational efficiencies, and developing high-performing teams to support the Company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Own end-to-end operations including manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, engineering, and quality assurance.
- Lead production ramp-up initiatives, facility expansions, and operational scaling efforts.
- Oversee the launch and integration of new production lines and manufacturing capabilities.
- Develop and implement scalable systems, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, regulatory, and workplace safety standards.
- Develop and recommend operational policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
Strategic Planning & Performance Management
- Establish operational objectives aligned with corporate goals.
- Develop short-term and long-term operational plans, budgets, and capital investment strategies.
- Review and approve plans related to:
- Budget spending
- Labor efficiency
- Material utilization
- Production output
- Engineering effectiveness
- Customer service performance
- Order fulfillment efficiency
- Monitor performance against operational plans and established standards.
- Analyze operational results and implement corrective actions as required.
- Present recommendations and strategic initiatives to the President and CEO.
- Lead major operational projects involving significant functional or organizational change.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies that support manufacturing excellence and business growth.
Financial & Resource Management
- Develop, review, and approve departmental budgets.
- Review cost control reports, capital expenditure requests, and operational forecasts.
- Evaluate manpower, equipment, and facility requirements to support future growth.
- Approve expenditures within authorized limits.
- Ensure efficient utilization of company resources while maintaining operational performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
- Support company-wide initiatives and ensure operational alignment with organizational priorities.
- Foster communication and cooperation across all functional areas.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Warehousing, and Engineering.
- Establish performance objectives and accountability measures for operational leaders.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental performance against established goals.
- Identify talent needs and support succession planning initiatives.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, development, and retention of key operational personnel.
- Recommend compensation adjustments and personnel actions as appropriate.
- Provide orientation, coaching, and ongoing development opportunities for team members.
- Ensure all employees understand their responsibilities, authority, and accountability.
- Maintain effective communication regarding company objectives, performance, and strategic priorities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG), food manufacturing, or snack food production.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Vice President of Operations or equivalent senior operations leadership role.

Pay: $200,000.00-$220,000.00 per year
