Full job description

First Wing Poultry Services Inc. (FWPS), a division of Moonfleet Group of Companies is hiring a Scheduler / Dispatcher. This position is responsible to organize, coordinate and manage employee and resource schedules to ensure timely delivery of services as well as to facilitate communication between teams. This role supports workflow efficiency, employee productivity, and customer satisfaction. Success involves coordination, accuracy, and the ability to anticipate and resolve logistical conflicts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
Coordinate staff availability, leaves, and shift swaps
Adjust schedules to meet changing operational demands
Use scheduling software to manage assignments and optimize efficiency while ensuring driver hours of service are adhered to
Assist in forecasting resource needs
Schedule job bookings with industry partners and farmers
Create crew sheets and arrange crew accommodations
Required to assist with general housekeeping of on-site crew accommodations and office area
Communicate schedules, changes or delays with logistics team, supervisors, drivers, crews and farmers
Review and update daily schedules and setup sheets
Resolve dispatch issues and support crew and truck logistics
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure equipment and staffing needs are met
Maintain accurate records and forward required documents
Provide after hours on-call support

Working Conditions:

Office work/desk job
Regular use of Excel, Outlook, phone and basic office equipment
Communication with farmers and industry partners for job bookings

Qualifications:

College diploma in administration, business, or related field
2-3 years of scheduling, coordination or logistics experience
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage time-sensitive priorities
Agricultural or poultry experience is an asset
