Full job description

Tank Traders® is looking for an Electrical Assembler to join our Research & Development team in La Salle, Manitoba!

Our R&D team is growing and working on exciting new projects. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with equipment and machinery, helping build and test new ideas that support our operations.

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy working with your hands, learning new skills, and being part of a team that builds things from the ground up.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Electrical Assembly & Wiring: Help build machinery by installing wiring, sensors, controls, and electrical components using drawings
Prototyping: Assist with assembling, testing, and troubleshooting new equipment
Fabrication Support: Work with sheet metal and structural components—cutting, bending, drilling, and modifying aluminum and steel using manual and powered tools.
Blueprint Reading & Design Feedback: Follow electrical and mechanical drawings and suggest improvements
Problem Solving & Innovation: Work with the team to fix issues and support new builds and ideas

Schedule:

Day Shifts - starting at 7am or 8am
Monday - Friday
8 hour days
Overtime as needed

Strong Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude – Comfortable working with tools, equipment, and electrical systems
Blueprint Reading Skills –Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Adaptability – Enjoys working on a variety of custom, one-off projects in a dynamic environment.
Problem Solver Mindset – Thinks creatively and contributes practical solutions to design and build challenges.
Team Player Attitude – Works well cross-functionally and contributes to a collaborative environment.
Technical Knowledge – Familiarity with automation concepts (PLCs, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics) is an asset.
