Full job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Junior Clerk on a part-time permanent basis on our Business Performance team at the Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC).

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our upbeat team. If you are interested in furthering your accounting career in a positive environment, we would like to hear from you!

What you’ll do:

Support Accounts Payable processing by managing the intake of invoices for processing or distribution and attaching supporting documentation where required.
Collaborate closely with CRC Project Managers, Engineers and Contract Coordinators to ensure invoices are accurately matched to purchase orders, applicable taxes are applied correctly, and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner. Assist in resolving invoicing and payment issues by coordinating with business units and suppliers.
Prepare journal entries and payable adjustments as required, while ensuring invoices and related documentation are accurately maintained and stored.
You will perform a variety of accounting duties as assigned and includes varying levels of responsibility.

The Team: You will report into the Accounting Supervisor, CRC Payables & Processing, and will work closely with teams in Accounts Payable, Operations Accounting and Financial Accounting. This team strives to cultivate a culture of inclusivity, support, and flexibility.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Finance and:

Have of 3 – 6 months of accounts payable experience or one year of closely related experience would be an asset.
Have a Grade 12 plus Introduction to Financial Accounting (Sask Polytechnic ACCT122 and ACCT 125 or UofR ADM/BUS 285 or equivalent is required.
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to meet and deal with visitors and employees in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
