The Company

B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.

Position

Electrician, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Supervisor, Electrical, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components throughout the mine and camp, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company safety standards.
Install and service electrical infrastructure within the camp, including lighting, power distribution, and control system.
Diagnose faults and deficiencies in existing systems and recommend or implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
Collaborate with operations teams to support safe and efficient electrical operations, maintenance schedules, and project development initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications, and report issues to the Supervisor, Electrician.
Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all site-specific safety policies and procedures.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

Three (3) years’ experience as a certified Electrician in mining, heavy industry, or a related field, ideally in remote Arctic conditions.
Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician ticket.
Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics, with preference for experience in mining or industrial environments.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $155,025.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $56.25 and overtime rate of $84.38) in a work year.
