Full job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a wholesale distribution business in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position is suited to someone who enjoys owning the full accounting cycle, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day operations in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will contribute strong organizational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working closely with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the complete bookkeeping function, ensuring financial records are accurate, current, and well organized.
Process incoming and outgoing payments by managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities in a timely manner.
Monitor cash position and perform reconciliations for accounts.
Prepare and submit month-end financial information and required filings for government and regulatory bodies.
Generate sales orders, purchase orders, and invoices to support daily business transactions.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and facility contacts to help coordinate contract-related documentation and resolve payment matters.
Provide administrative and office support to management and team members, including document handling and general coordination tasks.
Postsecondary education in accounting, business, or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting role.
Hands-on experience with Sage 50 or comparable computerized accounting software.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, with advanced comfort using Excel for financial tasks.
Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
Demonstrated ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, a high level of discretion, and the flexibility to shift between priorities as needed.
