Industrial Electrician (442A) – Maintenance
Location: Burlington, ON
Compensation:
Earn approximately $45.30/hour in your first year (including guaranteed production bonus)
- Base rate increases after a successful first-year review
- Transition to weekly plant production bonus following year one
- Additional earnings through overtime and Nucor profit sharing
- Opportunity for increased total earnings based on plant performance
Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)- Days: 6:30 am – 2:30 pm - Afternoons: 2:30 pm – 10:30pm (+$0.60/hour premium) - Nights: 10:30 pm – 6:30am (+$1.00/hour premium)
Overtime:- Available based on production needs - Saturday: Time and a half - Sunday: Double time

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and production equipment
- Work with:
- PLC/HMI systems
- Medium and high-voltage systems
- Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
- Machine guarding systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Support equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and production machinery
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
- Enter work orders, parts, and labour in CMMS (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification
- 3–5 years post-certification experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Must be available for rotating shifts and overtime
Working Conditions
