Morskate Manufacturing is a family-run structural steel manufacturer located in Ponoka, Alberta. Specializing in structural, agricultural and custom orders, we take pride in the ability to be adaptable and flexible when designing and building orders to meet the customers exact requirements.

Position Summary

Are you looking for an exciting new career opportunity that comes with amazing opportunities for success and growth for your future? Morskate Manufacturing is actively recruiting a motivated Roll Forming Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team of professionals.

Reporting to the Pre-Fab Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of automated roll forming machines used in the production of various steel profiles and components. This role involves setting up equipment according to precise job specifications, ensuring material alignment and product consistency, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor automated roll forming machines used for metal profile production.
Set up machines according to job specifications (dimensions, gauges, profiles).
Ensure consistent material feed, alignment, and product quality throughout the production process.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on machinery as needed.
Conduct quality control inspections on finished products to meet required standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Document production logs and report any malfunctions or quality issues promptly.

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating industrial machinery (experience with roll forming equipment highly preferred).
Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and production of steel profiles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift certification is a plus.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

Active participation in company safety program
Follow safety protocol including wearing of required PPE and understanding and application of safety policies, procedures and practices

We offer competitive starting wages beginning at $24.00-$28.00 per hour, with final rates determined by your experience, skill level, and how well you align with the role. We appreciate dedication and commitment, and we conduct thorough performance reviews after three months and annually to acknowledge outstanding work and support employee growth.
