Production Technician

Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan

Production Technicians are the backbone of our Oriented Strand Board (OSB) mills. You make sure we produce OSB safely and efficiently, creating the materials that build homes and dreams. We will start you in an entry level role where we provide all the training you need to succeed. With our unique Pay for Skills program, the more you learn, the more you earn. We’re looking for a General Production Technician to join our Oriented Strand Board (OSB) mill located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Meadow Lake employees 155 employees and safely and sustainably produces 730 million square feet of OSB every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Commitment to working safely.
Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a physically demanding industrial environment.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Previous experience in an OSB mill is an asset.
Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset.

In this role you will:

Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated to safety and efficiently producing OSB.
Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
Analyze and troubleshoot in your area and communicate with your team lead and maintenance to get things back on track.
Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, which gives you flexibility to spend extra time with your family on days off.
