Daily report in at the office and find out if management changed minds or go about previous days work if needed or pick up work orders for units that need repair.

Although I learned a lot about common household repairs/improvements I slowly was more and more being used for things that I shouldn't even be part of my responsibilities. The only daily routine task for me was checking vacant units for things that only needed to be looked at once a month or a week not everyday.

Some of the people I've worked with are good folks that have goals and are great to get along with but management will slowly show their true intents with employees.

All in all it WAS a good place to start in Fort Mcmurray but I wouldn't recommend it to live off of as this company will not treasure respect or dedication.

This company has no standard system, just run and operated by one owner mindset. There is even no HR. Nobody listens the employees’ issues and concerns. There is no culture and value in this organization. In addition, there is toxic culture with no value. There is no appreciation for your hard work. There is no chance of professional development either. I don’t recommend anyone there as there is no system set up including health, safety and welfare of employees. The management is always biased. 

Out of all my previous companies I have found Avenue to be the best in terms of learning and growth. Unlike many companies you are not confined within a mundane role, rather you are able to learn from many different roles creating the ability to learn much more than you would from most other companies. They also are very open to new ideas and welcome new perspectives and will help you grow within the company. 
They also truly value education and will help you with courses related to the field.

They are supportive of learning and growth. Because they are a medium sized business the salary may not be as high as you can get at large real estate companies, however, at Avenue you are treated like a person, your time is valued and there is lots of opportunity to learn new skills and grow your career. I rarely was expected to work overtime and there was good collaboration between divisions. 

often they sent our paychecks out late, so we could not cash the checks at the bank. there was always work to do, and the work days often went by fast, though often we could not purchase supplies we needed to complete some of the renovations in a timely manner

This was a seriously bad company to work for. It was like rats jumping from a sinking ship.  I showed up on time for 3 months less a day, worked hard to gain respect from angry tenants. Avenue Commercial decided to let me go 1 day before my probation period. Not very classy orginization in my opinion.

It is a very poor and toxic place to work at. They always lie about the position they offer you in the interview to suit their own needs. A few people have complained about how their job role changed as soon as they stated. I would recommend avoiding this workplace all together.

Avoid this place as a client or an employee. Management does not care for the staff at all. This company has some good staff, but leaders are nothing but bullies and morally compromised people.

Not the greatest place to work , not enough work.   Management not the greatest to work with etc.  The company expects a lot from you but don't pay to today's living standards

With property management, there is always something new to learn each day.  It was fun going to work to see what new experience awaited. The team atmosphere is great.
