I have worked as a cleaner before working for Domclean and have never had an issue with it until I worked for this company.

I'm sure it might just depend on the location and site manager, but my experience was terrible. I completed all the duties that I was told that I needed to do and then the shift leader/supervisor lied to the manager about me, claiming that I wasn't doing certain things that I was. On top of that, the shift leader lied that I wasn't doing certain things, which I was never actually told I was supposed to do. I assumed that the other jobs, which I would never have had time for if I was doing them was supposed to be left for the evening shift staff.

NOTE: The shift leader was never on the same shift as me. I worked alone during the day.

After defending myself, and explaining how the shift leader and the rest of the evening staff clearly weren't doing their job, which they weren't, they let me go. I was there for 3 weeks.

The site manager where I was never did a proper inspection like he was supposed to monthly. The site manager would not do any inspection and yet would fill out the form claiming it was completed. Domclean clearly doesn't pay attention their site managers. 

There is no room for growth within the company, the pay is minimum wage and the hours are bad as well.

The job which i am working at present is very simple.  It is just like how we do our daily duties at home.  I get a good feeling after doing the job and feel a better person knowing that others around me who work get to see and feel the clean job i have done.  It is an accomplishment and certainly makes me feel good about myself.
  I also got to know people personally especially when they did not see me as a Janitor and some of them even asked me about my Family.  Some even called me with my own name which brought me the identity and some even asked me about my kids with their names like as if they have met them in person.  I felt good knowing how much they care about me and my family.  After returning to work the next day it even seemed like as if we just met few hours ago and not the following day, since we were so much connected.

Great for folks who can put in an ear bud and clean away. A typical day of work for me was cleaning the bathrooms, refilling necessary toiletries, sweeping/mopping and vacuuming the floors. After I would start dusting high and low surfaces and or cleaning spots I would see. What I learned is that even the small spaces that nobody may see make a difference when all cleaned. Management at Domclean was very good, very understanding of personal struggles and gave feedback on work that've been completed. The hardest part about the job was making sure everything had been cleaned before the shift was over. The most enjoyable part of the job was being proud of the work I had accomplished after the shift was over but also being able to put an ear bud in and listen to music while I was cleaning; it helped me get into the groove. 

A typical day at work is pretty simple, your basically cleaning up after people, and doing every day cleaning you would normally do at home, I have learned a lot when it comes to working here, new chemicals, new ways of cleaning, and how to inspect to make sure something is cleaned. Management is amazing! Friendly and are always able to work with you on any issue at hand. the workplace culture for the most part you are set in your placements but 95% of the time people are pretty friendly and easy going, the hardest part of my job... there really isn't one.. My job is pretty easy, most of the hard work gets left on the shoulders of my manager. the most enjoyable part is when i get a "thank you" just knowing that I make sure bathrooms and lunch rooms are cleaned and people notice that is the best feeling in the world.

So when I worked here, my boss at the time, didnt care about anyone. Mg grandfather was in the hospital because he had a heart attack, and I had asked to leave 2 hours early that day and she looked at me with a dead stare and just said no you cant leave until your shift is done. So that was terrible but then like 3 weeks later, I had the flu, I went into work anyways because I felt bad, I was throwing up the whole time and I asked to leave after my lunch break and at that time I work 4 hours already and they said I dont believe that you are sick so no you cant go home so I went and sat in the bathroom and cried and then threw up and then they told me that I could leave, I didnt go back.

I worked straight days  and the location was good

Dealing with a so called manager

Work environment is good  but I've seen alot of ppl go from this company 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I cleaned bathrooms which aren't that bad

Dom Clean was a great company to work for I seriously cant complain about anything they look after there employee's good wages over all Excellent Company. I left because the sears the was closing and my grandmother took ill. I would have applied within there company for a different position but decide to look after grandmother. I learned a lot of different skills I had no idea how to use a huge floor machine but Dom Clean taught me !!! Thank you again

None I can think of,maybe the working Environment .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The air was dusty the culture was normal. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Collection of garbage, washing of the floors vacuuming,cleaning the lunchroom and bathrooms.

Like i said it is a terrible company to work for in this region anyway. The district manger Victor lies to his employees and then fires them when they refuse to do very unsafe work. The only reason he gets away with this is because most of his employees are from other countries and are too afraid or dont know they have the rights to refuse this work. It is a terrible terrible company.

I have been employed with Domclean for about 3 years now.
The company is solid,the District Manager is awesome,and company has been around for about 95 years!
I have over 30 years exp in cleaning,and this is one of the best companies I have worked for.
Always pay on time(direct deposit).
Domclean listens to their employees,how often can u say that today?lol.
