Typical day includes a full schedule of clients which is great, clinic is always busy since it is mostly MVA claims. That is a pro!
Workplace culture isnt overly close and there is no staff room for people to store or have lunch with other staff on their breaks. No staff meetings, parties etc. 
If you want to be totally by yourself but in an environment where your pay is similar to other places on the lower end pay scale then this could be a good fit. They dont provide everything as they might say they do, and some laundry is needed which is not a pro costing the therapist additional money and time. The cleanliness of the place is another complaint. They do not clean the treatment rooms at all which leaves them dusty and dirty from clients and the linens, leaving the therapist to do a physical duty which is not apart of the job description and you dont get paid for it. The treatment areas and main hallways should be spotless and professional looking and to me they are not. Treatment rooms are smaller than average and therefore lack storage space and you as the therapist have to buy or figure out your own way to store your materials needed for your job unless you want it to be disorganized.

The Hands on Health and Wellness Center was an excellent place to learn the many essential medical office procedures required for Medical Clerk/Secretary positions. My Post-Secondary Work Placement was based at this wonderful medical facility. The manager is super friendly, patient, and insightful. This place gave me the knowledge needed in today's medical secretary positions. I learned how to book appointments, schedule patients, forward referrals, manage phone calls, direct calls to the appropriate personal, and administered many other day-to-day informative technology based skills. The medical office procedures were easy and fun to learn because the training was clear and concise. I became competent in handling Urinary, Pregnancy, and Throat Swab Culture Tests, as well as managing emails, mail, faxes, and filing important files electrically and manually. I highly recommend anyone seeking medical office experience to try Hands on Health, it's extremely influential, and I'm really grateful for the time I had there.

I’m shocked at the previous bad reviews! I worked at HOH and absolutely loved it. The management is so understanding and helpful, and the hours can be flexible if you are in school or have other commitments. The workplace honestly gives a ‘family-feel’ - more than a few times the owner would bring us pizza for lunch! They hold an annual Christmas party for all of the staff and you’re welcome to bring someone as well. It’s a great time! You will never feel unappreciated for your hard work. I made lifelong friends at HOH that I still talk to every day! The only reason I don’t work here anymore is because I was offered a job related to the degree I’m pursuing - or else I would still be with HOH! Please don’t believe the bad reviews. 

I was excited to work here because it seemed like the owners were great people however first impressions were largely Deceiving. They give you way too much workload for a low salary, the owners talk bad behind your back just shady behaviour. Almost no training is given yet they spect you to know everything. They care more about money than they do about their patients by overcharging patients, apart from the owners and “manager” everyone was great. Too bad they don’t know how to value their employees, the turnover is ridiculously high at HOH this is not a place you want to work at if you are looking for a team oriented environment, job security and/ or good salary. For some reason they don’t provide contracts for their employees. 

I do not recommend anyone work here. They hire people and fire them so quickly without proper reason. They expect you to be a super human and learn the job with little to no training. Management is very sneaky. They treat employees poorly and are constantly hiring due to this. Pay is not great either due to the workload they are expecting. I do not recommend anyone work for this organization as you will probably be let go for no reason.

I enjoyed my time at Hands on Health. The clinic directors were very friendly, and the staff as a whole was a great group of people to work alongside. I always felt comfortable asking questions and communicating any concerns I may have had. Additionally, the patients were wonderful. I was so fortunate to make so many great connections and it made coming to work very enjoyable. 

Honestly I absolutely love working at HOH, very accommodating staff and very friendly. Felt very welcomed from the very first day working there. Everyone is respectful in every way. The training process is straightforward and working with the everything related to the administration is also straightforward. It's just a  matter of practise. I can see myself growing in this company and watching it flourish.

HOH is a disaster. An embarrassment to work there. Management at all levels is ineffective and makes decisions with zero regard for what actually makes sense. They require everyone, including administrative employees,  to wear scrubs like we’re all going into surgery. Zero compassion, horrible service building is disgusting. Worst place I have EVER worked

-no job security ( let go without notice + took 2+ weeks to fill out ROE for ei)
-poor quality of care for patients ( way too busy for the amount of employees + felt rushed constantly and unable to give full quality care to patients)
-quick turnaround of employees (this includes front desk staff + physiotherapists/ PTAs- will let you go once they find a replacement for you + have you train them before)


The staff at hands on foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for learning about patient care and physiotherapy modalities. They are incredibly kind and encourage asking questions and taking initiative regarding treatment and tasks around the clinic in order to improve the patient and staffs experience.
