Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cafe Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food and beverage service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. As a Cafe Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and foster a welcoming environment for both staff and customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant cafe environment, implement innovative service strategies, and contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties

Supervise daily cafe operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and customer service.
Manage staff scheduling, interviewing, training, and performance evaluations to build a motivated team.
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within the kitchen and customer areas.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure smooth operation.
Lead by example in providing excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
Implement operational policies and procedures aligned with restaurant management best practices.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality ingredients and supplies are available.
Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold the cafe’s reputation.

Requirements

Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles; supervisory experience preferred.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, food handling, and kitchen operations.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
Experience in interviewing potential team members and conducting staff training sessions.
Background in restaurant or hotel management is highly desirable; barista experience is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
