Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Loader/Unloader and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading goods, ensuring the smooth flow of inventory through precise handling and safety-conscious practices. Your mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment will help maintain high standards of accuracy and productivity. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and heavy equipment operation within a fast-paced environment committed to safety and excellence.

Duties

Safely load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, or order pickers.
Conduct heavy lifting tasks to move goods securely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks following all safety protocols.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against shipping documents, ensuring accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
Assist with warehouse organization by stacking, sorting, and storing items according to warehouse management system (WMS) guidelines.
Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing items for dispatch or receipt, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment conducive to efficient operations.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related construction experience.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and order pickers safely.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
Strong understanding of load & unload procedures with emphasis on heavy lifting techniques.
Ability to perform detailed order picking accurately in fast-paced settings.
Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation.
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards maintaining operational efficiency.
