Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Prior experience in food service and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. A strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hospitality standards is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations
Assist with basic food preparation when needed and maintain cleanliness of service areas
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Address guest inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Maintain a clean, organized work environment consistent with sanitation standards

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred; knowledge of the food industry is a plus
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
Basic math skills for cashiering and handling transactions accurately
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial but not required
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
