Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with commercial vehicles, and a commitment to operational excellence. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for the transportation of freight across designated routes.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including logs, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork.
Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address mechanical issues during trips.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight.

Experience

Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record.
Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related logistics roles preferred.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts is advantageous.
Familiarity with automotive repair basics is a plus for troubleshooting mechanical issues on the road.
Experience with freight handling and securement procedures is desirable.

This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery in the transportation industry.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
