We’re currently seeking an Engineering Project Coordinator to act as the technical lead on complex engineering projects, supporting design, integration, and execution from start to finish.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Position Type: Full-time, Fully Back In Office
- Location: 400-1430 Blair Towers Place, Ottawa ON
- Salary: Starting at $68,000 per year (based on experience)
- Security Clearance Requirements: Due to the nature of our work, candidates must be eligible to obtain a Level 2 (Secret) Government of Canada security clearance.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Engineering Project Coordinator serves as the technical lead on projects, ensuring high-level design and complex technical challenges are effectively resolved. This role works closely with the Project Management team to support successful project execution from start to finish.

- Applies knowledge of RF Shielding and Anechoic Chambers to deliver tailored solutions
- Acts as a key technical contact, minimizing interruptions and keeping drafting teams focused and efficient
REQUIREMENTS:
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check
- Ability to obtain a Level 2 Government of Canada Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil preferred)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in engineering project coordination or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, with a willingness to learn
- Experience with 3D modeling (e.g., SolidWorks) and 2D drawings (e.g., DraftSight or equivalent)
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
NICE TO HAVE:
- Proficiency in French
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility with PEO
- Experience with ladder logic programming
- Experience with structural analysis of enclosures
- Mechanical design experience (e.g., HVAC load calculations)
- Experience with electrical load analysis and basic commercial electrical system design
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems and components
- Experience with RF shielding and EMC testing
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform detailed system integration for RF shielded enclosures and anechoic chambers
- Provide technical support to Project Management and Production teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Review engineered drawings for both client submissions and manufacturing use
- Support and guide drafters on technical design requirements and challenges
- Complete engineering calculations to support design accuracy and performance
- Design custom solutions to integrate with standard products and existing processes
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the Sales team through applications engineering and technical input
- Conducting RF testing, including preparing test reports and certification documentation
