Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC laser cutting and programming, along with a strong mechanical aptitude. This role involves operating advanced machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production standards. Candidates with knowledge of plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, welding, and other machining processes are encouraged to apply. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision manufacturing and quality assurance.

Duties

Operate CNC laser cutting machines with precision and efficiency, ensuring adherence to specifications.
Program CNC laser equipment based on technical drawings and blueprints.
Set up and calibrate machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and milling machines.
Perform quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to produce accurate parts.
Utilize mechanical knowledge for machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
Handle material movement using cranes or forklifts as required for safety and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Assist in assembly processes when needed to meet production deadlines.
Conduct routine inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment; familiarity with CNC programming is highly preferred.
Knowledge of plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, welding, and machining processes is desirable.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and calipers for measurement.
Experience with crane operation or forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, quality inspection techniques, and basic math skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance.
