Position: Dock Worker (Inbound)

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Type of Employment: Full-Time – Monday to Friday

Shift time: 4:00am to 12:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure all inbound freight has been received
Call outside carriers for time of arrival and check for any delays
Update computer system with all inbound information daily
Advise Operations of any inbound delays and inform as to reason why
Ensure all inbound freight has been scanned, sorted and staged in correct area
Establish objectives and plans for work area
Coordinate and direct work to meet work area’s goals
Assist with driver checkout as needed
Any additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Secondary School Diploma or equivalent experience
Experience with transportation of dangerous goods
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ATS shipping system
Post-secondary education is an asset
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Must have a safety and compliance mindset
