Full job description

Ritewall Limited is a drywall company specializing in institutional, commercial, and industrial (ICI) construction.

We are currently seeking an experienced Leadhand to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and will possess strong skills in drywall installation, framing, and boarding.

You will be required to have a valid G driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to various job sites.

Sites will be located within the GTA and surrounding areas, with some potential for remote and/or out of town work.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

Strong knowledge of steel stud framing and drywall systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately
Experience with layout work and site measurements
Skilled in hanging and finishing gypsum board
Experience installing T-bar ceilings and insulation
Ability to supervise and manage a crew of 2–4 workers efficiently
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to coordinate work schedules and keep projects on schedule
Knowledge of commercial construction practices and safety standards
Ability to identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently
Ensure quality workmanship and maintain company standards
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and crew members
Physically capable of performing demanding construction work when required
Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented
