Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical office, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records (Healthquest), and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Prior experience with Microquest (HQ) is highly valued. The Medical Office Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, contributing to a welcoming and professional environment.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and other administrative files
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment scheduling
Maintain a clean and organized front office environment
Support administrative tasks and data entry related to medical practice operations
Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations

Experience

Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is preferred
Experience working in a Medical Office environment is highly desirable
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Healthquest is recommended
Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and office procedures
Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
Previous administrative experience in healthcare settings is beneficial
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
