Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your enthusiasm for patient care, will help create a welcoming environment where smiles are transformed every day. Duties

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are strictly followed.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy.
Perform chairside assisting duties, including taking vital signs, medical history updates, and explaining procedures to patients to ease anxiety.
Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records efficiently.
Ensure the clinic maintains high standards of infection control and safety through proper sterilization and aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral health awareness.

Qualifications

Certified Dental Assistant credential from an accredited program with current certification.
Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment; experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology.
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively.
Skilled in chairside assisting for various procedures across general dentistry disciplines such as prosthodontics and endodontics.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members—including dental receptionists—and provide compassionate patient care.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices for accurate documentation of medical records.
