Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, cash handling, and customer engagement.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following company standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met
Assist with food preparation and food handling as needed, including serving baked goods or light snacks
Manage multiple tasks efficiently using strong time management skills to minimize wait times
Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for change and totals
Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times during food handling and service

Experience

Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
Experience in serving, cashiering, or food preparation demonstrates readiness for this role
Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
