Moncton, New Brunswick | Independent | Pharmacist

Full-Time | Permanent | Moncton, NB

Practice Real Clinical Pharmacy Again. If you're ready to move beyond high-volume, metric-driven dispensing and practice pharmacy at a deeper clinical level - this role was built for you. At Ford's, you won't be measured by script counts. You'll be known by your patients.

ABOUT FORD'S FAMILY PHARMACY

Ford's Family Pharmacy & Wellness Centre has been independently serving Moncton since 1997. We are owned and led by Peter Ford, a pharmacist with over 30 years of expertise in pharmaceutical compounding for both human and veterinary use.

Our practice is built on a Functional Medicine philosophy - we dig into the root cause of a patient's health issues rather than simply filling prescriptions. We collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, veterinarians, and dentists across Canada to deliver truly individualized care. Our areas of specialization include:

Collaborative prescriber care - locally and across Canada
Functional medicine consultations
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
Non-sterile compounding
Human and veterinary compounding

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide patient-centered clinical care and comprehensive medication management
Perform prescription verification, therapeutic assessment, and drug interaction review
Participate in and support non-sterile compounding operations
Conduct in-depth medication reviews and consultations
Administer immunizations and facilitate preventive health screenings (BP, cholesterol, diabetes)
Provide leadership and mentorship to pharmacy technicians and support staff
Ensure compliance with professional standards, SOPs, and applicable legislation
Contribute to workflow optimization and new service development
Maintain pharmacological knowledge through ongoing professional development

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists, or eligible for registration
Strong clinical judgment and therapeutic reasoning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you build trust naturally
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, tight-knit team

Preferred (not required):

Interest in hormone therapy or functional medicine
Leadership aspirations or desire for expanded clinical scope
Ability to communicate in both official languages

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Competitive salary - above standard retail rates, commensurate with experience
Flexible scheduling options
Store hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm. Saturdays, (Labor Day - June 30) 9:00am - 1:00pm.
No Weekends in summer. Every third week has a three day time off (Saturday - Monday).
