Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting children's social and emotional growth, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure a positive learning experience. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly valued, along with experience working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. The ECE Teacher will play a vital role in promoting early childhood development through innovative teaching methods and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure classroom organization
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in compliance with licensing regulations
Demonstrate leadership in guiding children through learning activities while managing classroom routines efficiently
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices

Qualifications

Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is required; experience with special education or children with disabilities is a plus
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development theories, and classroom management techniques
Ability to operate basic computer/ Software applications for documentation and communication purposes
Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
Demonstrated time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively
Leadership qualities to guide children positively and foster a collaborative team environment
Writing skills for maintaining accurate records and communicating progress clearly
