Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting with meal preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food safety, food handling, and supporting a smooth restaurant operation. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a professional culinary setting.

Duties

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and basic meal assembly under supervision
Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and maintaining station cleanliness
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
Assist with restocking supplies and organizing storage areas to facilitate efficient workflow
Support the serving staff during busy periods by providing clean dishes and utensils as needed

Requirements

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed within restaurant hours of operation
