Job Summary

3rd or 4th apprentices may apply with at least three years of field experience.

Time for a change ? Tired of the old 7 to 5 ? Or the boring five day work week ?

We are offering shift work 14 on 7 off or 21 on 7 off. May very depending projects threw out Ontario.

Service truck work setting.

Loa or accommodation paid if needed.

Must have a clean drivers abstract.

We are seeking a skilled self driven Heavy Equipment Mechanic 421A or truck and coach 310T to join our maintenance team. Working on a wide variety of equipment construction, powerline gear, diggers, stringing equipment, bucket trucks and anything in between.

This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial and construction equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety. The position requires proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and welding.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of are clients.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy equipment.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspections, lubrication, and part replacements
Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Operate and test heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning after repairs
Conduct welding and fabrication work as needed for repairs or modifications
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs
Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs performed
Assist in assembly and installation of new machinery or equipment upgrades
Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents during maintenance activities
Support customer service efforts by providing technical assistance when required

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or truck and coach.
experience is preferred, especially with Caterpillar, John deer, kumatsu powertrax, Cummins, kenworth.
Strong mechanical skills complemented by electrical troubleshooting abilities
Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
Skilled in welding, fabrication, and use of hand tools and power tools
Experience with automotive repair is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions
