Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Server to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of ice cream treats, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong multitasking skills, and a positive attitude to ensure our guests have a memorable experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting ice cream flavors and toppings
Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats with attention to presentation and quality
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for processing transactions accurately
Handle cash and credit card payments with proper cash handling procedures
Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
Upsell additional products such as toppings or specialty items to enhance customer satisfaction
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed during food preparation and handling
Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests of all ages
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure prompt service
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment as needed

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
