Position: Onsite Recruiter
Location: Halifax, NS
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: $18-$21 / hr; Based on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible schedule needed with weekend availability)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven onsite recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent across various departments. This position requires strong communication skills and expertise in talent acquisition strategies. The Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment plans to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
Conduct end-to-end recruiting processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting candidates for various roles.
Engage in talent sourcing through multiple channels including social media management, HRIS platforms and cold calling techniques to generate leads.
Manage relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive experience and clear communication.
Coordinate and facilitate employee orientation sessions and onboarding processes for new hires.
Stay informed about employment & labor law compliance and ensure all recruitment activities adhere to legal standards.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, employee relations documentation, and recruitment metrics for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Previous experience in HR, recruitment, or a related field is an asset.
Own car to commute is mandatory.
Strong negotiation skills paired with excellent communication skills to engage candidates and hiring managers effectively.
Knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure compliant hiring practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Demonstrated success in talent management, lead generation, and relationship management within fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of HR functions including employee orientation, contracts management, employee relations, and training & development initiatives.
Strong research skills to identify potential candidates through various channels including cold calling and networking events.
