Outside Sales – Agriculture - Kamloops

We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative to grow our agriculture irrigation business across the Kamloops area. You’ll prospect new clients, manage existing relationships, and drive project-based sales for agriculture irrigation.

The ideal candidate is a sales-driven professional with strong technical aptitude, solid problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach. You are comfortable reading system layouts, sizing and troubleshooting irrigation equipment, and talking through hydraulics, pumps, and pivot design with growers. You are motivated by targets, able to work independently, and skilled at identifying needs, overcoming technical challenges, and closing deals within the agricultural sector.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Prospect, Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand our customer base and to help us gain market share across a given territory.
Conduct site visits, assessments, and consultations to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and services.
Understand the government regulations and processes to help producers be eligible for irrigation projects.
Create a weekly calendar of your planned territory coverage to log sales activity into CRM.
Identify and cultivate relationships with ranchers, farmers, agricultural associations, and industry partners.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
Negotiate sales agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Primarily work with sprinkler irrigation system projects that include center pivots, hose reels, and other irrigation systems used for various agriculture applications.
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate project design, delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
Perform minor repairs and system adjustments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and successful installation
Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, industry events, and find new opportunities where new contacts can be made.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to maintain a competitive edge.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using Microsoft Office and CRM Software
This position is based out of the Kamloops Branch and reports directly to the General Manager, while working directly with the Sales Manager for ongoing support and direction.
This is a field-based role that requires regular travel throughout British Columbia, specifically the Kamloops, Nicola Valley and North River areas to visit customer sites, attend industry events, and conduct on-site assessments.

Education and Experience:

Preferred: 2 years of B2B or agricultural sales experience
Demonstrated technical aptitude — mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical — with the ability to size, troubleshoot, and explain irrigation equipment in the field
Strong understanding of irrigation systems, pumps, and water delivery, or a trades/technical background with a willingness to learn
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office for sales tracking and client management.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across B.C.

Possible Career Path: Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Major Account Manager.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
