Beef n’ Brand is a long-standing family dining restaurant in North Bay, Ontario, proudly serving our community with hearty breakfasts, satisfying lunches, and comforting dinners. Known for our family friendly atmosphere, generous portions, and classic home-style meals, we’re committed to offering guests a welcoming experience that feels like home.

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Head Chef who will uphold our tradition of great food and warm hospitality — while bringing fresh ideas to our menu and kitchen operations.

Position Overview

The Head Chef will be responsible for leading all aspects of the kitchen — from menu creation to daily operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Lead and inspire the kitchen team, promoting a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Create, test, and refine menu items that align with Beef n’ Brand’s family dining style and community appeal.

Manage food preparation, portion control, and presentation to maintain consistent quality.

Monitor inventory, ordering, and food costs to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

Collaborate with ownership and management on menu planning, seasonal specials, and events Catering.

Qualifications

. Minimum 5 years of experience in a full-service restaurant environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Red Seal certification or equivalent professional accreditation is an asset.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage a team, handle multiple service periods, and maintain composure under pressure.
A passion for home-style cooking, comfort food, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Knowledge of cost control, scheduling, and food inventory management.
