Full job description

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We are currently searching for an experienced, professional and customer focused Office Administration (Operations) to support our Operations team in Saint John, NB.

What you will do:

Answer and redirect maintenance calls;
Issue all Purchase Orders for work orders, and help monitor work orders;
Create change orders;
Create health and safety PPE orders;
Track vehicle service;
Submit mileage for staff as needed;
Assist with tracking of insurance claims;
Assist with capex’s;
Invoicing;
Other administrative reports and duties as required.

Who you are:

Must have strong administrative training and background, with over 2 years’ experience;
Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools, high level of Excel competency;
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment;
Keen focus on internal and external client satisfaction and process improvement;
Prior property management experience would be an asset;
Knowledge of Yardi would be an asset or similar capital processing system.
