The Opportunity
An established automotive dealership in the Manitoba market is looking for a strong business leader to take ownership of dealership performance and help shape its next stage of growth.
This role is ideal for an experienced automotive General Manager who understands what it takes to lead a dealership at both the operational and strategic level. We are also open to an accomplished General Sales Manager who has consistently delivered results and is ready to step into broader dealership leadership.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence every area of the business, from financial performance and department results to team development, customer satisfaction, and overall dealership culture.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Set the overall direction for the dealership and establish clear performance expectations across all departments
- Partner with department leaders to identify opportunities, address challenges, and improve business results
- Take ownership of dealership financial performance, including profitability, expenses, and key operating metrics
- Develop and execute business plans that support sales growth and long-term profitability
- Create an environment where managers and employees are accountable, supported, and motivated to perform
- Ensure Sales, Finance, Service, and Parts teams work effectively together to deliver a consistent customer experience
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, inventory performance, and overall operational effectiveness
- Recruit, coach, and develop leaders while building a strong succession pipeline within the dealership
- Maintain high standards for compliance, customer service, and day-to-day dealership operations
What You Bring
We’re looking for an automotive leader who combines strong people leadership with a solid understanding of dealership operations.
- 3+ years of General Manager experience within a franchised automotive dealership, or significant success as a General Sales Manager with the leadership capability to take on a GM position
- Broad understanding of dealership operations, including Sales, Finance, Service, and Parts
- Demonstrated ability to improve dealership performance and deliver against financial and operational targets
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing department managers and high-performing teams
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to understand performance data and turn insights into action
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Decisive and accountable leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract

Pay: $300,000.00-$380,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Manitoba: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
Experience:
- General Manager in an OEM Dealership: 3 years (preferred)
- General Sales Manager : 5 years (preferred)
