About Us

Greenshield Construction Inc. is a Vancouver-based contractor specializing in asbestos abatement, hazardous materials removal, and selective demolition. Our mission is to protect public safety and the environment through professional, compliant, and efficient remediation services. We work closely with environmental consultants, clients, and regulatory bodies to deliver safe, high-quality results across every project.

Abatement / Demolition Worker Key Responsibilities

Perform asbestos abatement and selective demolition work in accordance with project requirements.
Set up and dismantle containment systems, decontamination facilities, and negative air equipment.
Safely remove asbestos-containing materials using approved procedures and equipment.
Carry out demolition work while minimizing dust and maintaining a safe work environment.
Operate hand tools, power tools, HEPA vacuums, and other abatement equipment.
Package, label, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations.
Follow all WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, including Part 6 – Asbestos.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators.

Qualifications

Experience in asbestos abatement, demolition, construction, or a related field is an asset.
Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and safe work practices is preferred.
Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and wearing respiratory protection.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Valid BC driver's license is an asset.
Level 2, or 3 Asbestos Abatement Certification (or equivalent) is an asset.
WHMIS and Occupational First Aid certifications are an asset.
