Golf & Turf Equipment Technician - Upper Onslow, NS

Our client is looking for a skilled Golf & Turf Equipment Technician (Mechanic) to join their team in Upper Onslow, Nova Scotia. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who can independently perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on golf and turf equipment. The position involves both shop-based and field service work, requiring travel to customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on golf and turf equipment
Complete scheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer standards
Overhaul, test, and repair major mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components
Accurately document work performed, including diagnostics, parts, and labor
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
Maintain and operate service vehicles, tools, and diagnostic equipment
Participate in ongoing technical training programs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Accurately track time, materials, and service details for reporting purposes

Qualifications

1+ years of experience performing mechanical service and repairs
Experience with golf and turf equipment considered an asset
Small engine certification preferred
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to complete complex repairs using specialized diagnostic tools
Comfortable using computer systems for service documentation and reporting
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
Valid driver’s license
High school diploma or equivalent
Availability for overtime and on-call work during peak seasons
