Full job description

Overview
Do you enjoy road trips, camping, and exploring BC?

We are seeking an adventurous person to join our food truck family. Yes, I know cliche, but it is a family business. Meals and accommodations (mostly tenting) are provided.

Duties

Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously
Take customer orders accurately and upsell menu items when appropriate
Operate POS systems for order processing, handle cash transactions and provide correct change using basic math skills
Prepare and serve food items according to company recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck’s kitchen and service areas in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Uphold sanitation standards and ensure the truck meets health department requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of POS system, if you have a smart phone you will do just fine
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
Understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation practices
Kitchen experience or food handling certification is advantageous
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Flexibility to work variable hours based on schedule demands
