Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Sandwich Maker and Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for our customers! In this role, you will be the friendly face behind the counter, crafting delicious sandwiches with precision and care and prepping ingredients, while providing exceptional customer service. Your multitasking skills will shine as you prepare food, handle transactions, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied. This position offers a fast-paced, engaging atmosphere where your contributions directly impact the success of our operation.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and food safety.
Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately and swiftly.
Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and providing correct change.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area and dining space, adhering to all food safety regulations.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, answer questions about menu items, and upsell products to enhance sales.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
Follow all food handling procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Requirements

Prior experience in food preparation or food service is preferred; restaurant experience is a plus.
Familiarity with POS systems.
Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
Previous kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous; willingness to learn new skills is essential.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed.
