ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Manager role is part of the Innocon Finance team. This role will provide the Sr. Finance Manager and Operating Managers with full and appropriate financial management information and strategic support including budgeting and forecasting. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, and works to improve understanding of key business drivers and maximize results. Identification and implementation of best practices comprise a key component of this role.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Manage accounting and reporting functions of the plant including preparation of management presentations, review and analyze financial results and identify areas for improvement
- Provide financial support to the management (i.e. Senior Finance Manager, Plant Managers, and Production/Maintenance Managers etc.).
- Interpret events and activities from a financial perspective (monthly, quarterly, and annually), review and validation of plant KPIs and cost per ton report.
- Effectively interact and collaborate with the Operations team to prepare annual budgets, mid-term plans (MTP) and regular forecasting activities (volume, cost, inventory).
- Perform financial modelling and quantitative analysis of information to highlight areas of risk and opportunities, analyze trends and provide forward looking projections to initiate actions.
- Provide informative, timely, and reliable financial information for Innocon Management team.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and responsible for month-end close.
- Oversee fixed assets accounting, validation, physical count and control over plant assets.
- Maintain proper financial and accounting controls, including SOX compliance, ensure effective internal controls and oversee adherence to company’s policies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Additional Education Preferred: Field of Study Preferred: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Required Work Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of financial management experience with increasing responsibility and complex roles
- Required Training/Certifications: Professional accounting designation required (CPA)
- Required Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP Systems (eg. SAP, or similar), Advanced Excel skills, Experience with financial reporting tools, and data analysis, Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance, Ability to analyse large datasets, Familiarity with audit processes
- Travel Requirements: 5%

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
