Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the head chef and managing kitchen operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a food industry professional with leadership skills to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting in menu development, all while fostering a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Assist the head chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
Coordinate food service activities during meal periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Maintain a safe, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
Support menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards
Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and excellent food preparation skills
Ability to work with flexible hours

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Excellent team management and leadership abilities
In-depth knowledge of restaurant management operations
Experience with food handling protocols and maintaining hygiene standards
Familiarity with the food industry trends and hospitality best practices
Ability to serve under pressure while maintaining quality standards
Effective communication skills to coordinate with staff and management
Passion for culinary excellence with a focus on customer satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to lead a team, motivate staff, and uphold high service standards

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
